Go-Green Energizer Smoothie
Some days I wake up feeling like my head is underwater; my thoughts are hazy, my mood is less than spunky, and my body grog makes me feel like a sloth. As much as I love sloths, I don’t love feeling like one.
So to combat Slothzilla, I came up with a mean, green energizing machine, in the form of delicious, smoothie, glory. What better way to purge the brain/body funk than with a super tasty, glass of goodness, right?
Throw these powerhouse goodies into a blender, create your own energizer smoothie, and get back to taking over the world – which in my case means tackling the colony of single socks looking for love in my clean laundry pile.
INGREDIENTS:
Matcha
Antioxidant-packed matcha boosts your metabolism, contains cancer-fighting EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), contains natural occurring caffeine to increase energy and endurance, and is loaded with mood enhancing L-Theanine.
Raw Honey
Unpasteurized, raw honey maintains all of its do-your-body-good nutrients and minerals that support gut health and help to strengthen your immune system. Along with an array of health benefits, honey is a great source of bioavailable carbohydrates that help with athletic performance, muscle repair, and endurance.
Bee Pollen
Not only is bee pollen delicious and a superhero for your health, but you’re also supporting valuable pollinators. Bee pollen is super high in protein, amino acids, and vitamins. Naturally occurring B-complex vitamins fight fatigue, antioxidants like rutin support your cardiovascular system, and amino acids help to regenerate cells to maximize muscle repair.
Banana
Super inexpensive and full of pick-me-up awesomeness, bananas replenish electrolyte reserves, fuel your muscles with much needed energy in the form of glycogen, and taste AH-MAH-ZING to boot!
Ginger
The little root that packs a major punch. Ginger promotes circulation, increases metabolic function, improves your body’s ability to uptake nutrients, reduces inflammation, strengthens immunity, and so much more. Moral of the story? Get ginger in your belly!

- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 grape-sized knob raw ginger
